Okudzeto Ablakwa: I Find It Despicable And Disgusting

Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described the use of the intemperate language on a member of the NDCs Communication Team, Felix Kwakye Ofosu by the Executive Director of IMANI, Franklin Cudjoe, as disgusting and despicable. To him, it is unbelievable that a leader of a civil society group claiming to be objective would address another person in that insulting manner, and accused Franklin Cudjoe of being intolerant of divergent views about his works. The Executive Director of IMANI, appalled by Kwakye Ofosus labeling of the institute as an appendage of the opposition NPP, hit back by writing on (his private wall) the electronic social network site, Facebook, that the NDC activist is an advanced bootlicker and a mere useful idiot. Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has however since regretted and apologized for his choice of words. Contributing to discussions on Metro TVs Good morning Ghana show, Okudzeto Ablakwa said it was not improbable in nature for some people to associate the IMANI Executive Director with the NPP, since it is an open secret that Franklin Cudjoe is a capitalist and a neoliberal and the NPP is the only political party that shares such ideologies views. There are some civil-society organizations that are not behaving well, what Franklin Cudjoe posted on his Facebook wall calling Felix Kwakye names, is very despicable and I was so disgusted. I couldnt believe that a leader of a civil society that say that you are objective could refer to another like this, meanwhile you are always criticizing but when someone criticizes your work, you are so intolerant of divergent news. What havent they said about the NDC? What words havent they used? there are times they accuse people of corruption and looting when they do not have any (shred of) evidence, he said. In spite of Mr. Cudjoes apology, the Deputy Information Minister was still unforgiving calling his action shameful. Because you have a think tankyou have become this arrogant and you think you are the most enlightened and educated person in Ghana. I think it was very shameful to say the least, he said.
