XCLUSIV FOTOS: I Will Make MUSIGA The Prettiest Lady- Obour

Newly elected and youngest person to ever be President in the history of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour known as Obour has attributed his vision for the union and the new image his leadership wants to give MUSIGA to a pretty lady that is every mans dream to have. Obour said this during his acceptance speech after he was sworn in to climax the 5th Quadrennial Congress which took place at the Radach Lodge and Conference Center in Tamale. Together, I encourage all of us to work hard to make MUSIGA the prettiest lady in the world. When a lady is pretty everybody seeks after her. When MUSIGA is very pretty I promise you that the whole world will come after MUSIGA, he said. He pledged to change the face of MUSIGA to make it attractive to more musicians, especially his colleague young musicians, who have always distanced themselves from the union and its activities. Obour, the youngest contender for the hot seat, beat the other three candidates; Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Tuffour and Willie Roy. The hiplife artiste won the race with 64 votes out of a total of 139 delegates, followed by H-Life singer Nana Tuffour ((9924) who surprised everybody with 51 votes, Simigua rap king Gyedu Blay Ambolley had 20 votes, whiles Keyboardist Willie Roy had 2 votes. Obour and his campaign team started jubilating when the Electoral Commission officer who was counting the ballot papers, hit the 60th count before they finally realized that they have four additional votes. Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Nana Tuffour and Willie Roy walked out of the Conference hall immediately their votes were counted and couldnt even wait for the winner to be announced officially by the electoral officer. With powder poured all over his face, Obour who was not too happy reading his acceptance speech in the absence of his fellow candidates, read a Bible quotation from 1st Corinthians 13:4-7, which speaks about Love. I would have been extremely glad if I had my other contestants here because this quotation is directly geared towards them, so that we could all move ahead and make this union a formidable union, he stated, adding that his quotation is headlined Love The Superior Way and he is positive that with love, the Musicians Union of Ghana can move forward. Today will go down in history as the turning point of our great union. Total victory has been won. I say victory because irrespective of all the challenges, we have finally, through a democratic process, arrived at a common conclusion. Indeed the verdict of the 139 delegates is that I, Obour Bice Osei Kuffour, should lead this union as the master servant. He called for togetherness, and urged his fellow contestants to put all the hatred, back biting and unnecessary propaganda against each other behind them, and forge ahead as one force. To my fellow contestants, you are victorious because without you there have been no participation. So I encourage you and I tell you that very soon, I will be calling on all of you to meet with me because I believe strongly that once you stepped up to say you want to lead, then you have a leadership skill, then you have an idea which if I add to my idea, will together make MUSIGA a very formidable union. He thanked all the delegates for choosing him, emphasizing that his doors are always open to them anytime they have any complaints or suggestions.
