"Nana And Kufuor Are Twins"

A member of the National Communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has stated that former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the flagbearer of NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo are the best brothers Ghanaians can ever think of. He noted that the duo do things in common and sometimes eat together, urging some members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), who claim the two are at each others throats, to stop the dirty propaganda since it will not take them anywhere. Nana and former President Kufuor are like twins that was why Kufuor was able to appoint Nana as his Foreign Minister. Due to the confidence and trust he reposed in him he never betrayed him, he stated. Mr. Baafi disclosed this at the inauguration of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) NPP Youth Wing at Elmina in the Central Region over the weekend. Mr. Baafi stressed the need for party members to work hard towards total victory in the 2012 general elections. There is no need for you to be made an executive before you can work hard for the party the win the 2012 elections which is very crucial. He indicated that Nana Addo has contributed enormously towards the development of the country by defending the vulnerable and helping to repeal the criminal libel law. Ghanas former Ambassador to Korea, Nana Gabby Nsiah Nketsiah asked the youth not to be disturbed by the intimidation and propaganda by NDC members. Nana Nketsiah advised the NPP youth to respect the laws and institutions of Ghana and not to take matters into their own hands as some NDC foot-soldiers are doing. We cannot pretend we are surprise as their progenitors possessed the same violent spirit that overthrew our third Republican Constitution in 1981, he added. He advised the youth to organize a good campaign for the party in the upcoming elections as well as participate bravely like warriors in the 2012 voter registration process. Please encourage friends and families to register when the time comes and vote massively for NPP and Nana Addo since we all have a role to play to send NPP to power, he said. The former ambassador urged the youth to always consider themselves as achievers and develop the right attitude needed to support the leadership of the great party. Nana Nketsiah underscored the need for the youth to take advantage of the little opportunities that come their way with humility, adding that they should also think of what they can do for the party and mother Ghana and not what the party or the country can do for them. The Central Regional Secretary of NPP, Kwamena Duncan noted that President Mills cannot match the achievement of the Kufour administration even if he eats all the gari on earth considering schemes like School Feeding, Capitation, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) initiated by the administration. Mr. Duncan expressed concern about the way in which the NDC government was contracting huge sums of loans from other foreign countries, adding that the country now owes its foreign partners over $10 billion in just two years. He hinted that God wanted Ghanaians to experience the bad administration of NDC. The former Minister of Information, Stephen Asamoah Boateng revealed that NPP should not joke with unity if they really want to win the 2012 elections. According to him, he lost the Mfantseman parliamentary seat to the NDC candidate because of disunity within the party. The KEEA Constituency Chairman of the party, Nana Appiah Korang described NDC members as vindictive, arrogant and selfish people who came into power to drain Ghanaians.
