Daniel Opare Takes Blame For Ghana Defeat To Brazil

Defender Daniel Opare has apologized to his teammates and Ghanaians for his early sending off which cost Ghana a 1-0 defeat to Brazil in Mondays friendly. The Standard Liege player was marched off after 38 minutes for a second yellow offence and that weekend a hitherto promising Black Stars squad. The make-shift Ghana left-back was first booked for a late challenge on Santos superstar Neymar. It is part of the game and i didnt have any intention of breaking someones leg. It was an unfair red card but sorry for letting my team and the whole Ghana down, Opare told MTNFootball.com I take the blame for losing to Brazil. I guess its part of the game and I have gained some experience. He also criticized referee Mike Dean for over protecting the Brazilian players. The referee began early by intimidating us and was too harsh on me. I still will stand by what I said earlier that Im sorry and will prove on the good sides.
