Kotoko For Zambia

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko have not totally ruled out the possibility of emplaning for Zambia this year for a four-club tournament. The Porcupine Warriors were expected to leave for Zambia in September this year but the tourney was postponed at the eleventh hour. Organizers of the lucrative tournament have now settled on October, according to information gathered by Daily Guide Sports. Coincidentally, the next Glo Premier League is scheduled to commence in October, posing challenges to Kotokos hopes of taking part in the tournament. But speaking in an interview, Kotokos Communications Director, Listowell Yesu Bukerson hinted that Porcupine Warriors would honour the Zambia tournament. He said the money involved in the tournament is too lucrative to ignore; therefore Kotoko would find time to take part in it. Listowell said even if Kotoko would have to divide the team into two, with one playing in the league and other playing in Zambia, management would not hesitate to do so. Besides getting more money to run the club, he disclosed, the Porcupine Warriors stand to gain a lot of exposure.
