CPP To Open 60 New Offices Ahead Of 2012

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) will from today Thursday September 22, officially open some 60 offices within the next 6 weeks in various constituencies in the country. According to the partys 2008 flag bearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum this move will contribute largely to the rejuvenation of the CPP especially from the grass-root level. Dr. Ndoum was sharing his reflections on the significance of the commemoration of the birthday of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on Citi FMs Eyewitness News on Tuesday September 21, which is nationally celebrated as the birthday of Ghanas first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The CPP flagbearer hopeful also insisted that it is time for leading members of the party to come on board and contribute to the rebirth of the CPP. Dr. Ndoum is also advocating that all leading key members like Prof. Badu Akosa, George Aguddey, Bright Akwettey and himself should be willing to contest parliamentary seats in their constituencies as a way of energizing the party locally. According to Dr Ndoum, one of the greatest criticisms against the CPP is its physical absence on the ground, a situation that is set to change with the springing up of the new offices. He said we are going to begin to physically, publicly open offices, some of whom we have been working on over the past two years and some of us are determined that we are going to start 60 offices within the next six weeks. We have worked on them already, but we are now going to just physically open them so the public can see that if I am in the Osu Korley Clottey constituency, this is the office.
