Prez Mills Has No Problem With This Kind Of Politics Koku Anyidoho

Communications Director at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho, has reaffirmed President John Evans Mills commitment to ensuring free and fair elections in 2012. He said President Mills is ready to follow the good steps of his predecessor, former President Kufuor who handed Ghana over peacefully after successfully completing his term. According to him, President Mills has nothing to hide and will prefer that the UN election observers come and observe the 2012 election as they did in 2008. Koku Anyidoho who was speaking in an interview on Asempa FMs Ekosii sen political program on President Mills address at the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, stated emphatically that President Mills and the NDC will not abuse their incumbency. President Mills is committed to ensuring a peaceful election 2012. Kufuor handed over a peaceful Ghana to President Mills and he continues to maintain that peace so whoever thinks Mills and the NDC will abuse incumbency to maintain power will be put to shame. That is why he is calling on UN and international observers who were here for the successful 2008 election to come and witness the 2012 election too, he said. According to him, President Mills and the NDC will not use any illegal means to win a second term, stressing that President Mills is confident that if he succeeds in building a Better Ghana, Ghanaians will vote for him again in 2012. If you are abreast with recent happenings in the United States between the Republicans and the Democrats, you will realize that is the same thing happening here. Incidentally if you follow what the Democrats who have the same colours and symbol as the NPP are doing to President Barack Obama, it is not easy. It is the same thing happening here but President Mills has no problem with this kind of politics, he noted.
