The over encouraging attendance made a clear statement of the relevance of the two clubs in Ghana football though performances in recent years have dipped significantly.
Hosts, Asante Kotoko sporting their traditional all red attire defended the Asokwa end of the pitch in the first half while the visitors did same at the Amakom end.
