Fulanis Not Killing Agogo Residents Alhaji Grunza

The King Faisal football club owner Alhaji Karim Grunza has accused the Police and National Security of turning a blind eye to the atrocities perpetrated against nomadic pastoralists in Agogo in the Ashanti region. Alhaji Grunza who employs about 25 fulani herdsmen in Agogo has told Citi News that claims by the residents that Fulanis are raping their women and also robbing, maiming and killing the locals there, are untrue. If we are killing their people or raping their women they have to report to the police. They are just killing my people. This thing is destroying our image. They are rather killing our people and the Agogo police, the divisional and regional police commanders and the regional divisional securities are all aware of this. The residents have since threatened to boycott all funerals in the area until the Chiefs drive out the herdsmen. Alhaji Grunza however maintained that it is rather the locals killing the herdsmen without cause. He said that the locals have no right to lynch or behead Fulanis as he claims has been happening, even if the herdsmen had committed any crime. The angry King Faisal owner told Citi News that Just about four months ago, a Fulani was killed and we had to bury him without a head. And I will say that it the Agogo people because they are the people farming there. If they say we have killed 27 people, they should prove it. Alhaji Karim Grunza promised to hold a press conference to address pressmen and the general public on the conflict.
