Blind Man To Contest NPP MP

One of the NDC parliamentary aspirants for the Navrongo Central Constituency of the Upper East Region, Adongo Jacob has said that his disability as a visually impaired person will not prevent him from working to better the constituency should he get elected as MP. Adongo Jacob, who is contesting the Regional Minister, Mark Woyongo in the primaries, has said that he will emerge victor to challenge the incumbent NPP MP, Joseph Kofi Adda, come 2012. Mr. Jacob told Citi News that he believes he is the best choice for the NDC in its quest to wrestle the Navrongo Central seat from the NPP. I have always said that the role of an MP is not to fight. The time when leaders had to hold knives and machetes to go to war is over. Today it is about vision, being able to think and lead your people in terms of development and I believe I have the vision. "It is not enough to have two eyes when you cannot think or focus on the future. Someone who can see is one who sees today and tomorrow. Adongo Jacob said that the delegates are aware of his enormous contribution to the constituemcy and the nation. Thus he is confident of becoming the MP in Navrongo Central.
