Why Is NPP Not Gloating Over NDCs Inability To Complete Projects? Okudzeto Ablakwa

A Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has sarcastically stated that he finds it hard to comprehend why the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is not in seventh heaven over the NDCs inability to complete projects they (NPP) initially kicked against. According to him, God is probably granting them (NPP) their wish since the minority NPP vehemently opposed most of the developmental initiatives that the NDC had earmarked to do. He however slammed the NPP for failing to complete a single housing unit in their eight year rule. There are two things I find very interesting about the NPPs loud noisesthese are projects that the NPP vehemently opposedthey said they didnt want to see these projects. So if we are in September and you havent seen these projects, shouldnt you be happy? I cant understand itmay be God is granting you your wish; your prayer is being answeredyou are worried you are not seeing it. Jesus Christ; I cant believe it. if there is any political tradition in this world which should be telling us that houses are not completed in a month, they should be the NPP because it is the NPP that stayed in power for 8 year; they are the only political party that will go down in history as not being completed a single housing project; not even one was completed, he said. Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Golds Alhaji and Alhaji programme, Okudzeto Ablakwa opined that compared to ex-president Kufuors NPP led administration, the Mills-led government has performed tremendously well, and enumerated some projects undertaken by the NDC to buttress his point. He berated the NPP for jumping to the conclusion that President Mills promise of an Action Year (2011) has failed, and emphatically stated that at no point did the government promise to complete all of its projects in 2011. We are living in very interesting times2011 has three months to go, why this indecent haste? The conclusion that is being drawn by the NPP that Action Year 2011 has failedcome and explain why weve failed. Meanwhile, the year is not even overand they are demanding answers from the NDCit is important to stress that nobody including President or any member of the government said that all of these projects will be completed in 2011, he stated.
