Juliet Ibrahim Takes Over Ghana Movie Awards Car

Beautiful actress Juliet Ibrahim, one of the four actresses, who won the Best Actress in Lead role (English) at the maiden edition of Ghana Movie Awards, has finally taken over the possession of the SUV car that came with the award. In a short ceremony at the premises of TV3, on Wednesday October 5, 2011, the car was presented to Juliet Ibrahim who just returned from America. According Prince Kyegah, Events Coordinator, who revealed the news to Peacefmonline.com, they jury and the organizers decided to give the car to Juliet because she expressed interest in driving the controversial car which is supposed to be driven in turns by the four actresses. The car which was given to co-winner Roselyn Ngizzah in a similarly ceremony at the same venue some weeks back was taken from the plus size actress for Juliet. Prince disclosed that Roselyn has driven the car for six weeks now and it was just prudent to hand it over to Juliet to also use it for some time especially now that the one year period they are supposed to use the car getting closer. Prince said their attention was drawn to that fact that Juliet Ibrahim was the first to express interest in using car in the initial stages when the others were pulling back. It will be recalled that Juliet was very agitated when she heard that the car has been given to Roselyn because according to her, they presented the car to Roselyn without the permission of the other three co-winners so its Juliets time to spin the wheel. Asked how long Juliet is supposed to drive the car, Prince said she is expected to use the car for six weeks just like Roselyn. As to what happens to the car after the six weeks, he said it is very likely actress Yvonne Okoro will take her turn. Prince stressed that it is obvious that Jackie Appiah is not interested in the car because apart from reports in the media that she has opted out, she has not even signed for the car like the other three have. The one year period for the four winners (Roselyn Ngizzah, Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Okoro and Juliet Ibrahim) to use the car expires this December but according to Prince they may extend the time considering the fact they started using the car publicly just this August.
