NDC Youth Activists Call For Fair Play

A group dubbed the Discerning Youth of NDC in the Nadowli West has appealed to the leadership of the party to create an enabling environment for all those who wish to contest the constituency primaries. At a press conference at Nadowli, Mr Bernard Naawaana, Secretary of the group cautioned all interest groups to avoid the politics of maligning each other in order not to jeopardize the fortunes of the party in the 2012 elections. He also warned against the use of money and other rewards to corrupt delegates to vote for a wrong candidate. Mr Naawaana said the group was not discriminating against anybody but was out to ensure a clean and fair primary in the constituency. He said the group is ready to fight all negative tendencies that are likely to hinder the chances of the party and therefore appealed to the delegates not to sell their conscience for personal gains to the neglect of the development of the constituency. Mr Naawaana said the group was carefully observing developments in the constituency and did not ascribe to the principles of unity in conformity but unity in diversity because every single person in the constituency was needed by the party. He said we also detest the sectionalism and patron-alignment which currently pervades in the constituency and support all inclusiveness.
