Prince David Osei's Hollywood Blockbuster To Premieres Today

Prince David Oseis Hollywood blockbuster movie The Dead was today premiered for the press, at the Silverbird cinema in the Accra Mall. The movie dubbed the most original zombie movie of the year has had amazing raves and reviews since its release and has primiered on many world stages including the Cannes Film Festival and other UK big screens. The Dead has finally touched down Oseis home soil for Ghanaian fans. The Dead, written and directed by the Ford Brothers (Howard J. Ford and Jon Ford) in Ghana, Burkina Faso and England takes you on a horrifying road-trip through a zombie-dominated terrain on a sun-lit African plain. The story tells of an American mercenary, the sole survivor of a violent plane crash who maneuvers through the hostile arid landscape while battling against the newly-risen living-dead. Almost losing all hope, he encounters an African soldier, Sergeant Daniel Dembele played by Osei, who is desperately searching for his son amidst the chaos. Like most action flicks, the foreign mercenary and the soldier (Osei) are then forced to join powers in forging their way through unstoppable, gruesome, ever-hungry zombies into an uncertain end. Horror film lovers will certainly be at the edge of their seats as the grisly scenes of the dead and the living have a go at it. The film also features veteran Ghanaian actor David Dontoh, who plays a local Chief as well as Hollywood star, Rob Freeman, the American mercenary. Freeman is noted for award-winning movies like Steven Spielbergs Saving Private Ryan. At a media preview today at the Silverbird Cinema, there was a thunderous applause at the end of the movie however, David Osei could not make it due to the ongoing premiere in the US but the old hand, David Dontoh, availed himself. The public premiere will have two sessions, 7pm and 9:30pm on Friday, 28th October 2011 at the Silverbird Cinema.
