Angry Andani Youth: Find Ya-Na's Killers Or No Vote

The Andani youth have lashed out at the Mills-Mahama administration stating that they are losing confidence in the government for its inability to fulfill its promise to bring the killers of the late Dagbon overlord, Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani, to book. The youth have therefore warned government against coming over to the Northern region to campaign ahead of the 2012 elections until the Mills-led administration arrests and prosecutes the killers of the late king. According to them, the failure of the NDC government to find the killers of the late Ya-Naa could plunge the Northern region into serious chaos once again. The youth also wondered if President Mills 2008 campaign promise to bring the late Ya-Naas killers to book was a fluke. No NDC official should come to the North to do campaign if the killers of the late Ya-Naa are not arrested," spokesperson for the Andani youth, Sayibu Abdul Rahman said. "The government is now backtracking from the Dagbon issue and we are beginning to lose confidence in them and if care is not taken the North will once again be locked in a serious confusion. The Andani youth have also warned to resist any attempts by any security heads of the Mills administration to help the rival Abudu royal family perform the funeral rites of the late Mahamadu Abdullahi in the Gbewaa Palace. The Abudus had hinted a few weeks ago that they were preparing to give the late overlord a regal burial befitting a late Ya-Naa. But the spokesperson for the Andani youth, Abdul Rahman has categorically told Citi News that would be over their dead body. We the Andani Youth are also aware of certain meetings that are going on between the government security apparatus and the Abudu family on performing the funeral rites of the late Mahamadu Abdulai and we want to state here and now that, over our dead body, he said. Meanwhile, the Abudu royal family has stated that they will go ahead with their plans to perform a fulfilling funeral rite for the late Mahamadu Abdulai.
