The Abudu spokesperson in Accra, Alhaji Mugisu Sibawee, has called the bluff of the Andanis, who have warned government officials never to step foot in Northern Ghana until they find the killers of the late Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani.
The Andanis have also served notice to the Abudu family never to dream of stepping in the Gbewaa Palace to bury the late Mahamadu Abdulai, another overlord of Dagbon, or will face a stiff resistance.
However, Alhaji Sibawee said the Andani royal family is just making an empty threat and must rather allow the 'Roadmap to Peace' initiated by the Otumfuo Committee of Eminent Chiefs to work."The Andanis are dreaming and making noise," Sibawee told Joy FM. "We're going to bury the late Mahamadu Abdulai because we're following the roadmap to peace."
Speaking to Citi FM's Eyewitness News on the same issue, he said the government must not allow the other gate to "dictate the peace" of Ghana."It's time for Dagbon to have peace. .. We're going to perform the funeral. The roadmap empowers Abudus to bury the late Abdulai.
"I expect the national security to call Andanis to order. They are dictating the peace of the country," Sibawee said.He claimed that their brothers are just "trying to disturb the peace of the country" by threatening never to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come the 2012 general elections.
"I'm making it clear that the government is not for Abudus or Andanis, they stand for people of the country...Abudus want peace," Sibawee noted.
