Derek Boateng Tips Ghana To Reign At 2012 Nations Cup

Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng claims they have clicked into gear to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations after a securing a late win over Gabon on Tuesday in a friendly. The FC Dnipro ace came off the bench in the second half and wore the captains arm band as the Black Stars snatched the match winner at the death of the match. Ghana opened the scoring before a quarter of an hour from a spot-kick which was expertly converted by Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu. But the Azingo National replied on 44 minutes through Eric Moulongui. And when all thought the match was heading for a draw, South Korea-based striker Derek Asamoah headed home Andre Ayews corner-kick in the 90th minute for the win. Boateng, who will be making his second Africa Cup of Nations appearance, believes his teammates are ready to clinch a fifth continental silverware. We have done well to score Gabon. We are going to bring the cup home, Boateng told Accra-based Asempa FM. We want to win every game we playing and we are very serious. We have only one thing in mind and that is to win the Cup.
