The �Porcupine Warriors� Kumasi Asante Kotoko pay an unceremonious call on the Phobia club, Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports stadium in the most horrific fixture in the seventh week encounter of the Glo Premier league. The red army are yet to loose a match this season haven�t gone six matches on a clear sheet will be facing a hot Phobia side who have nothing to appease their teaming supporters after loosing 1 � 2 to Nigerian side Enugu Rangers at the same venue last Sunday at the climax of their centenary celebration. The former continental club masters are second on the log with 13 points and will do everything possible to out stage their fearsome rivals who lies at the summit of the table with 14 points and are very much aware that a win over the Phobia�s could mean winning the league before the Christmas. To be very honest, Asante Kotoko stands as the favorite among the two on paper because they have scored in all their matches whereas Hearts of Oak have been running away with some lone goal victories and loosing their last premier league match against Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape-Coast Robert Mensah stadium in a match which the phobian�s started with nine men. The deciding zone of this match will be at the middle where there�s going to be a lot of fireworks between the likes of Moro Abubakar, former Windy Professionals middie Thomas Abbey, Douglas Nkrumah and the dreadful Uriah Asante against the likes of Daniel Nii Adjei, Fatau Mohammed, Nathaniel Asamoah and back from injury Michael Anaba whose last encounter with Hearts at the Accra sports stadium saw his side All Blacks winning. Both sides are quite good in defence especially the fullbacks who enjoys joining the attack when it matters most but Kotoko�s lanky central defender Awal Mohammed has been committing some cynical penalties of late and the Phobian�s may capitalize on that. Upfront, supporters of Kotoko can find a solace in their Ivorian marksman Ahmed Toure who is poised for Sunday�s occasion as some members of the Ivorian FA members will be at the stadium to monitor his performance. Hearts on the other hand are finding things very tough upfront as their top marksman Mahatma Otoo is failing to score for his side thus leaving the burden on Douglas Nkrumah to banging in the goals for Hearts. The Phobian�s may be struggling upfront but should Uriah Asante be on top of issues come Sunday then the story could be a different one for Kotoko and if coach Vucecevic could be man enough to play Raymond Darke and Mahatma Otoo upfront then the Kotoko central defensive pair will be having a lot of issues to deal with. New Edubiase are currently fifth on the ladder with twelve points whilst Berekum Chelsea on the other hand is sixth with eleven points. Berekum Chelsea are a little ahead of the home team in terms of materials but the secret of New Edubiase lies in their striker Emmanuel Baffour who leads the goal king chart with eight goals from six matches played and is ready to cause havoc to the Chelsea defence in order to adding a goal or two to his tally. A draw is likely in this match but the home side may run away with a win. New entrant Wassaman united will come face to face with Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Sekondi Essipong stadium. Dwarfs are third on the log with twelve points and will be willing to add Wassaman to it snick of conquers but the home side have no other option than to go for the three maximum points at stake to honor Dwarfs their first defeat in the league. At the Berekum golden city park, Berekum Arsenal will welcome local rivals Aduana stars in a match which promises to be nothing but fireworks. Arsenal�s are currently third from bottom on the table with just four points whereas Aduana lies eight on the log with nine points. Aduana are very good defensively but they lack the fire upfront to cause any havoc to Arsenal at their own backyard. Soccer miners Ashantigold SC will battle things out with Tema Youth at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium in a must win match. Ashantigold have been facing a lot of pressure from their supporters due to their poor start to the season and will be looking forward to winning this game to appease their supporters but Tema Youth are equally finding things difficult in the league and will stretch Ashantigold to their elastic limit. At the Kpando Park, giant killers Hearts of Lions will welcome the scientific soccer lads Liberty Professionals who went on a goal shopping spree last week with a 5 � 0 win over bottom club Bechem united. Lions are eleventh on the table with eight points whiles Liberty on the other hand lies eight on the ladder with eleven points. Lions have not seen the best of season yet but playing at their favorite Kpando Park will motivate them to win over their visitors but Liberty could care them if care is not taken at the back. Bottom club Bechem united will welcome Medeama to the Bechem Park where the home team will be seeking for their first victory in the premiership. Medeama could have gotten an easy win over Bechem had the match been played at the Baba Yara stadium but playing in front of their home crowd will motivate the home side to go for the kill but their defence should be weary of Hans Koffie and Luis Agyeman. On Saturday at the Accra sports stadium, Mighty Jets will welcome All Stars. The home side is eleventh on the table with just five points whilst the visitors are fourth on the ladder with twelve maximum points. On paper, the visitors looks favorite to carry the day but Mighty Jets are also poised for action and will not leave anything to chance.
