Ghana To Host Africa Investment Forum

Ghana will host the 10th Africa Investment Forum from March 28 to 29, 2012, to address business and investment opportunities across the continent, with a particular focus on West Africa. The two-day Forum is being organised by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) in partnership with the Government of Ghana and the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) in Ghana. Themed: "partnering with ECOWAS to accelerate investment", the forum will also provide a platform for an open dialogue with guest Heads of State, to explore and discuss project and opportunities. International investors and partners who will be participating in the Africa Investment Forum 2012 will have a unique opportunity to have a direct interaction with leaders from across the region. It is one of the longest standing international business events on the continent. By bringing in new international investors and partners, over the last decade, the forum has made a practical contribution to economic development in many Commonwealth African countries. According to the organisers, the forum will highlight discussion on key topic including investment flows and regional trade, strengthening infrastructure for development, and agriculture and food security. There will also be roundtables in crucial sectors including: oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, private equity, entrepreneurship and venture capital, energy and tourism. The Africa Investment Forum has a great tradition of attracting the best in international business and politics. Next year�s forum will provide an unrivalled opportunity to network with a wide variety of national decision makers and business leaders from segment including: governments: private equity and project financers; infrastructure providers; and the extractive and manufacturing industries.
