"Call On Rawlings To Resolve NDC Crisis"

A political science lecturer at KNUST, Kwesi Amakye, has endorsed calls for the founder of the NDC, JJ Rawlings, to assist in the resolution of the internal wrangling in the party. His comments follow a letter written by the National Chairman of the NDC Dr. Kwabena Adjei and copied to former President Rawlings to resolve disintegrative factional dynamics in the party. Mr. Amakye stated in an interview with Citi News that recent happenings in the country is the effect of the disintegration in the ruling NDC. What is happening in the country right now is having its toll on the party, so Im not taken aback by the chairman asking for some action to be taken so that some sanity can be restored within the party, he commented. Dr. Adjei, who did not mince words in his correspondence, said the founders relevance in the party affairs can neither be questioned nor treated with contempt. Reacting to this, Mr Amakye also said the NDC chairman was spot on as Mr Rawlings is still alive and commands a high level of authority and respect in the party.
