President Kufuor And Gordon Brown Share Ideas

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Friday, had a breakfast meeting with Former British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown during which they talked about their times in office and the activities they are engaged in since the end of their tenure. President Kufuor praised Prime Minister Brown for his assistance in securing �46 million Sterling for free maternal health care for women which has contributed to the success of the National Health Insurance Scheme during his presidency. He also thanked Premier Brown for his support in resolving the Kenyan crisis in 2008 which initiative he undertook as chairman of the African Union. This was contained in a statement issued in Accra by Mr Frank Agyekum, Spokesperson at the Office of Former President Kufuor. Premier Brown commended President Kufuor for his leadership qualities which helped to bring stability and development in Africa adding that the many projects he was involved in after leaving office was testimony to the high esteem that he was held across the world.
