Patronise The Biometric Resgistration Exercise-Yaw Boateng Gyan

Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged organizers of the party in Brong-Ahafo Region to encourage members and supporters in their constituencies to patronise the biometric registration exercise. He stressed that by registering, they would be enable them to exercise their franchise to propel the party to another stupendous victory in the December elections. Mr Gyan made the call at the inauguration of a 10-member executive of an organisers� forum for the Region at Bono-Kyempim hall in Techiman at the weekend. Five hundred and fifty constituency organizers of the party, comprising the Youth, women�s wing and other organizers of the party attended the forum. Also in attendance were Mr. Atuahene Acheampong, Brong-Ahafo regional chairman of the party, Mr. John Owusu, Vice Chairman, Mr. Kwasi Oppong Ababio, Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Dominic Napare, Sene District Chief Executive, Alhaji Salli, Ashanti Regional Chairman and Mr. Alex Kyeremeh, MCE for Techiman. Mr. Gyan asked members and sympathizers of the Party not to worry about the Woyome issue �because the government is doing everything possible to unravel the perpetrators or accomplices in the judgement debt payment. The whole nation will then know those who really benefited from the deal�, he said. The national organiser said the leadership of NDC was feverishly working towards unity in the party and advised staffs of the defunct National Mobilization Programme, who have not been paid their salaries, to exercise restraint as the Government was addressing the issue. He said the Party would soon supply organizers of the Party with motor bikes to undertake their duties effectively and efficiently. Noting the absence of females in the forum�s executives, Mr Gyan asked the regional organiser, Alhaji Gausu, to revisit the process of selection in order to uphold the aims and objectives of the forum. He said similar fora would soon be formed in the other regions. Alhaji Gausu said the forum would seek to strengthen the supervisory function of constituency organizers as well as organizers of the Youth and women wings. It also seeks to promote the welfare of organizers to ensure the effective implementation of programmes, activities and strategies of the Party, he added. He indicated the 50-member committee of the organisers� forum, comprises 24 constituency organizers, 24 deputy organizers, as well as the Regional Organiser and his deputy. Alhaji Gausu said for the sake of effective administrative functioning, the Region had been zoned into three parts; Sene Zone,Western Zone and the Central Zone. Sene, Atebubu, Pru, Kintampo North, Kintampo South, Nkoranza North, Nkoranza South, Techiman North and Techiman South constituencies form the Sene Zone. The Western Zone has Dormaa East, Dormaa west, Asunafo North, Asunafo South, Asutifi North, Asutifi South, Tano North and Tano South whilst the Central Zone has Tain, Wenchi, Jaman North, Jaman South, Berekum, Sunyani East and Sunyani West. All the zones have co-ordinators for easy implementation of programmes, the Regional Organiser added and gave assurance of efforts being made to improve the lot of the organizers. �As a party with mass following, we are aware of the arduous task in this regard but we are sure of a dramatic improvement in our welfare�, Alhaji Gausu said. The executives for the regional organizers forum are; Alhaji Gausu of Sunyani, Regional organiser, Nana Yaw Kumi, also of Sunyani, Deputy regional organiser, Mr. Joe Kumah Ibrahim, popularly called �Aban-kramo�, secretary, who is Sunyani East organiser, Alhaji Saaka Mumuni of Techiman, welfare officer, Nana Konadu, treasurer and Berekum deputy organiser, Alex Yeboah, financial secretary and Sunyani West organiser. The zonal coordinators are Alhaji Mustapha (alias �Tairror�), Pru organiser in-charge of the Eastern zone, Mr. Kwame Antwi Boateng, Tano South organiser in-charge of Western zone, Mr. Joe Kumah Ibrahim, Sunyani East organiser in-charge of Central zone and Mr. Thomas Takyi, Jaman South organiser who is the convener of the regional forum. Mr. Gyan swore the executives into office.
