Stolen Files Allegations: Its 'Senseless' And 'Total Rubbish' - Kweku Baako

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Malik Kweku Baako has described the allegations that officials of the erstwhile Kufuor administration stole document and files whiles leaving office as total "rubbish" and "senseless". According to him, the NDC is engaged in an exercise of self indictment saying the strategy by the ruling party to shift blame onto former government appointees will backfire and hit them in their own faces. He questions why and how the NDC government made payments to Mr Alfred Woyome when they did not have documents to verify the authenticity of his claims. It would be recalled that on Saturday, February 25th, whiles contributing to discussions on Joy FM�s Newsfile programme, Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa claimed that former government officials carted away some vital documents when they were handing over to the ruling government. According to him, some relevant files from the Attorney General�s office and others bothering on the Woyome/Waterville matter were taken away. Despite repeated denials from former Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Mpiani former Chief Executive of the Ghana@50 celebrations, Dr Charles Wereko-Brobbey and former deputy minister of Finance, Dr Akoto Osei that they never took away any official documents upon leaving office in 2009, the governing NDC still insist some vital files were "stolen" by members of the NPP to cover up their wrong deeds.
