An aide to the opposition NPP flagbearer, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has challenged the NDC government to retrieve the GhC51 million paid as judgment debt to businessman, Mr. Alfred Woyome and channel it into the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA). He insinuated that the government has neglected the Northern region and called on its inhabitants to vote President Mills out in this year�s elections. Mr. Jinapor was speaking at a public forum organised by the Progressive NPP Youth Group in Tamale under the theme, �Youth in Action for Victory 2012.� According to him, President John Mills� administration has been insensitive to the plight of the people in the northern regions and called on the electorates to show the NDC red card come the December general elections. He dispelled the wrong impression created over the years that the NPP was an Akan party and paid tribute to Jato Kaleo and Dombo, founding fathers of the NPP from the North. Jinapor opined that the NPP will win the December general elections and thus called for party unity and also cautioned the youth against politics of insults and character assassination. Ahmed A. Iddi Adakwa, the President of the Progressive NPP Youth Group disclosed its plans to embark on a door to door crusade to maximise the party�s electoral fortunes in December. He gave the assurance that all the NPP defunct youth groups in the region will be rejuvenated to embark on a vigorous membership drive for the party. Mr. Adakwa said the group has among other interventions initiated research mechanisms to uncover some of the major problems causing the NPP�s defeat in the Northern region for remedial solutions ahead of the December elections.
