The Enemy Within NDC Killing NDC At Mills Backyard

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) should as a matter of urgency wake up and deal with a nasty situation prevailing in the Mfantseman East Constituency, in the Central Region, which happens to be the backyard of President J. E. A. Mills. Certain key figures (names withheld) are working tirelessly to ensure the defeat of the Parliamentary candidate of the area, Mr. Abeiku Crentsil, in the December elections. The hands which are visible have ganged up and, with the support of a top notch of the NDC in the area, are derailing the efforts of the otherwise vibrant and popular Parliamentary candidate. The Enquirer is in firm grip of information that indicates that, just last Wednesday, there was a meeting in area sponsored by a big man within the NDC in the area to demonstrate against the candidate, with the excuse that he is not popular. The detractors of the candidate and the NDC in Mfantseman East are also going round the area spreading a message that the candidate is too young. The situation, the Enquirer gathered after investigations, makes the delegates feel so much insulted because, for them, they made the right choice. Mr. Crentsil defeated Mr. Kuntu Blanson, the incumbent MP, in the constituency primary held in early part of the year. Although, the Enquirer learnt that the whole agenda was not washing as those who have embarked on it wished, it was paving the way for the opposition New Patriotic Party in the area. An executive of the constituency, who for now wants to be anonymous, told The Enquirer that it was amazing how people who otherwise should know better are behaving like that. He told The Enquirer that notices have been sent to those embarking on such dirty agenda but they would not budge. We are closely watching them and will in the near future go after them because those pursuing the agenda have been offered appointment by the very President they want to disgrace, he said. According to him, the Parliamentary candidate has been with the party for years and the people know what he can do for them. I dont understand this dirty game because age and intelligence and commitment towards the good of the people are different things altogether, he added.
