Nyaho-Tamakloe: GFA Wasting Our Time Over Gorans Future

A former Ghana Football Association chairman, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has lashed out at the incumbent GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi for his inability to take a firm decision on Black Stars coach, Goran Stevanovic. He said if he had been the GFA capo, the coach would have known his fate by now without wasting the time of anxious Ghanaians. The GFA has deferred for the second time the final decision on the future of the Serbian, who has incurred the wrath of local football fans for failing to bring the Africa Cup of Nations title home. This follows a meeting of the Executive Committee on Thursday, where the future of the coach was discussed following consultations with stakeholders. The GFA said it will meet with Stevanovic next week and the final decision will be announced subsequently. However, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe has told Citi Sports Nyantakyi must be man enough to determine Plavis fate instead of playing on the emotions of Ghanaians with such hide and seek attitude. Im very much surprised that Kwesi Nyantakyi as the head of the FA cant take decision on this particular matter. Im very surprised, the firebrand said. This thing started quite some time and I dont think its quite good for leadership. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe added: Im only surprised because I know Kwesi is quite strong when it comes to certain things, maybe he might probably be influenced by certain things that I dont know, but Im surprised. If I had been there, the decision would have been taken by now. A leader must be able to take decision and if he cant take decision he has no right to lead, however, I will say let us all wait and see, he noted.
