The closure of shops owned by foreign retail traders in Accra continues on Wednesday. This is contrary to media reports that the operation has been temporarily suspended.
The exercise which was hailed as successful continues from the Zongo Lane in Accra.
The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Nasir Ahmed Yartey, told Radio Ghana that some owners of the closed shops, have been to the Trade Ministry for instructions on what they need to do.
Meanwhile the Nigerian Association of Traders in Ghana are meeting the ECOWAS Parliament in Accra.
