I salute The Journey of A Working Woman And A Woman Of Heart on International Women’s Day - Matilda Amissah- Arthur
I would want to advice my fellow colleagues to stop giving the Second Lady Samira Bawuamia negative attention and publicity when it comes to her preference of dressing, as a moslem woman.
It is immaterial. Instead, they should focus on her role as a Second Lady if she would follow the path of her predecessor, Matilda Amissah- Arthur Who I salute on international WOMEN’S DAY.
The same people ignored and complained bitterly about Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur, when she helped many through her passion for social work with a commitment in promoting the rights of children in the country.
I salute her for being a care giver for children, orphans and the less privileged in society. She had the passion to champion and help reduce the increasing deterioration of child welfare wherever she finds herself till date. Some of you rebuked her for being too popular.
That was the Journey of a Working Woman and a Woman of Heart who took it upon herself to help raise awareness about the critical maternal issues in the country. She wiped away the tears on the faces of children and their mothers in Ghana. She wasn’t given coverage but was rather chastised.
You shut your doors to her; but yet she continued when her humanitarian actions were visible and the effects of her deep commitment to improving the human condition. Her achievements were display of generosity of a woman, attentive to vulnerabilities and pain of humanity.
I have always believed that she was a woman who has got strength, vision and foresight. And is highly innovative and does not slack in pursuing her mission in fulfilling her set goals. She is a very good example of the woman in Proverbs 31:10-30.
Not moved by being sidelined, Mrs. Amissah-Arthur continuously called on Ghanaians to work towards creating a culture of caring and commitment to education by reading. This is because a reading nation is an informed nation. And an informed nation is a powerful nation. That is what she believes in.
As part of her commitment she has toured majority of the health centers in the country and has given hope to the less privileged in society and also to see to the welfare of sick children in the country, so that she can help alleviate them from their suffering.
I salute her for being a strong advocate on issues relating to children, she also has been in the vanguard of fight for the education of children as a right together with health related issues.
As a professional Librarian, she has carried out extensive sensitization programs in the society laying emphasis on enrollment, retention and completion of children’s education with the aim of seeing to it that children were treated with care because they are our future leaders.
What we need is a united Ghana where the future of the youth is guaranteed and should be our focus and concern not the way Samira Bawumia dresses. Mama Tilly, Happy Mother’s Day!

What ?Did the writer erroneously think he was writing an epitaph to the former second lady?Well I agree she was quite a decent lady trying her best for the deprived till the NDC spirit caught up with her and she retorted to a poor shaken small town head-teacher that'I will not give you chalk today or tomorrow'That was a low for her, but generally she comported herself well and did not st3a1 anything that did not belong to her.
Some fake christians are insulting Muslims because they advised Samira to continue covering herself as she was doing during the campaign which both Muslims and Christians were happy with her. In the holy Bible 1 Corinthians 11:16 says and I quote "For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head." Fake christians who are insulting Muslims because they are practicing what the Bible says should bury their heads in shame. Read the Bible obey and practice what the Bible say. May be to the fake christians the Bible has become primitive or outmoded so fake christians don't want to follow the Bible again. If you don't want to obey 1 Corinthians 11:16 then you are fake onapo christian. Onaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapo!!!!!!
How Ghanaians waste hours on unnecessary things. The second lady will not dress like what those with no fashion ideas expect her to do. They never criticize Konadu when she was first lady so why now. Let her dress it adds value to her position. Nothing better to think about GHANA clean the gutters in front of your houses so AMA can tackle the bigger messes across the Country.
You use this platform to do the bidding of the Amissah Arthur's. You this same guy was doing same the last time with Bawumiah as your noisy vice and the former vice as the knowledgeable now this? There are some people you just can't ***barred word*** anymore in this country.
