Ada constituency is located in the Greater Accra Region and it’s considered as a stronghold for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to 1996 to 2016 election statistics, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin. The NPP hardly gets 20 percent of the total vote cast.
In 2016 for instance, then Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo scored 18.4 percent in the constituency and the Parliamentary candidate; Kanor Sanakey had 13.4 percent.
The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) is Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah and she is seeking reelection in the forthcoming 7th December 2020.
