Kpone Katamanso constituency is located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana and it’s considered a stronghold of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to 1996 to 2016 election statistics, the NDC consecutively wins both presidential and parliamentary elections with a huge margin.
The NDC is poised to maintain this ‘tradition’ but the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wants to make history by turning Kpone Katamanso into an NPP seat.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo who has been the ‘reigning champion’ since 2004, has decided not to seek reelection.
The new NDC candidate, therefore, is Joseph Akuertey Tettey. He will be locking horns with Hopeson Adorye of the NPP.
This is one of the seats to look out for in the December 7 elections.
