Academic work at the St. Mary's Girls Senior High School at Konogo in the Asante Akim North Municipality, is under threat following frequent invasion of stray animals on the school's premises.
Students often leave their classrooms to drive away animals that create all sorts of nuisance including grazing on the school's lawn.
Father Isaac Osei-Tutu, Chaplain of the school, who disclosed these, when the Assembly Member for Ahenbronum Eletoral Area, Mr. Ken Opoku-Asiedu donated assorted books to the school and the Wesley High School on Friday, called for urgent steps to stop the menace.
Father Osei-Tutu cited that a cow entered a classroom while lessons were on-going and appealed to the Assembly and Unit Committee of the area to help solve the problem to promote teaching and learning.
He praised Mr. Opoku-Asiedu for the donation and called on other philanthropists to contribute to the development of education.
Mr. Opoku-Asiedu promised that he would support the development of education in the area.
