President John Mahama will in the 2014 budget statement announce a definite policy decision to provide stimulus packages for the Pharmaceutical, Textile, Agri-business, Manufacturing and related sectors.
The government is also reviewing the Export Development and Investment Fund, EDIF, on how to support not only exports but also manufacturing and others.
President Mahama stated this when he held discussions with the Governing Council of the Association of Ghana Industries, AGI at Flagstaff House in Accra.
President Mahama appealed to the captains of industry to bear with the government as the measures announced by the Minister of Finance to address the fiscal deficit and imbalances in the economy are temporary.
