Kadjebi District is poised to meet the deadline of September 30 given by President John Dramani Mahama for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to complete naming their streets.
Mr Jacob Alebinde Asogonnde, Chief Executive of Kadjebi, told the GNA in an interview that the work was about 85 percent complete.
He said the Assembly, through a Sister/City concept had undertaken similar exercise in the past but the directive demanded that MMDAs should avoid naming streets after living patriots in their areas.
Mr Asogonnde said he was optimistic to meet the deadline as the contractors were busily fixing the signage.
On how the district was combating the cholera outbreak, he said the district recorded four cases.
The DCE said the Assembly had entered into an agreement with Zoomlion to rehabilitate 14 dilapidated public latrines.
Mr Asogonnde said Kadjebi District topped the list of Municipal and District Assemblies on the Regional Coordinating Councils Sanitation assessment campaign recently.
