Domestic Airlines at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) have resumed their operations.
This follows an improvement in atmospheric visibility levels from 700 meters to between 1800 to 3000 meters.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Tetteh Portuphy, Senior Meteorologist at the Ghana Meteorological Agency, KIA, said although visibility levels had improved, the airlines operated according to the pertaining weather conditions within their respective routes and destinations.
“If the weather conditions bordering a particular flight route and destination are not favorable, then that particular flight may be cancelled or rescheduled,” he said.
Domestic flights at the KIA, recently halted their operations, following poor visibility levels, caused by atmospheric haze which is typical of the harmattan season.
