The Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil has said the number of Ministerial appointees Akufo-Addo has made should see to it that problems affecting the country which includes annual flooding of major cities should seize.
In a facebook post he made on 20th April 2018 read, “If Accra flood this year’s, there’ll be hell to pay by those 110+998 people.”
Accra and some major cities have always flooded, almost as an annual ritual people look forward to with accompanying loss of lives and properties.
But IMANI’s Mr Bentil vowed there will be hell to pay by the over 1000 appointees of President Akufo-Addo should Accra flood this year.
But not only has Accra flooded again, but many lives including a medical doctor stationed at Ridge Hospital, a mother and a child among others, have been lost as a result of the flooding situation.
The Monday rains which started around 8:00 p.m. flooded many parts of Accra, leaving residents of the city in devastation as the flood waters recede Tuesday morning. The rains persisted till 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning when it started to subside.
Active social media users took to Facebook and Twitter to give updates about the flooding situation at their locations as they struggle to get through to emergency service providers without success.
Residents frustrated as flood waters take over their homes
Residents at Taifa junction could not salvage any of their properties as their homes and shops got flooded by the rain

Mr Kofi Bentil, if you are given the position of Accra mayor how are you going to solve this problem?. Since you are the deputy of a think tank organisation bring your solution for people to see.Are you going to demolish people's buildings then your house will be demolished.I could see you are walking encyclopedia with ***barred word*** knowledge because whatever statement that comes from you is infantile.
A NEW CAPITAL FOR THE COUNTRY IS VERY NECESSARY. WE CAN'T CONTINUE TO WASTE THE NATIONS MONEY IN A CONGESTED AREA LIKE ACCRA. PLANNING AUTHORITIES SHOULD AS A MATTER OF URGENCY LOOK FOR MONEY TO BUILD A NEW CAPITAL CITY. THIS WILL HELP DECONGEST THE CITY OF ACCRA. DEVELOPMENT PLANNERS MUST INTERVENE TO SPEARHEAD THIS AGENDA. THESE ARE AREAS THAT 'TINK TANKS' LIKE IMMANI MUST EXPLORE AND LOOK FOR SUPPORT NOT SUCH A STUPIDDDD COMMENT
THIS IMMANI GUY IS GETTING CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED. PROBABLY THE FOREIGN SUPPORT IS NOT COMING AS USUAL. DO WE HAVE TO CROSS THE 100 MINISTER MARK BEFORE WE GET CLEAN? YOU BETTER CONTRIBUTE SENSIBLYYY AND STOP THESE UGLYYY NOISEEEEE. YOU ARE CLOSELY BEING WATCHED AND IT SEEMS YOUR TANK IS GETTING EMPTY OF USEFUL TAUGHT.
Now we are being absurd. much as I agree that the number of appointees is high, I don't see the link with the perennial flooding. It's as if they were all appointed to stop flooding.
Massa, common roads sef, they can't fix let alone flooding. That Adda guy said he is not a borla minister, but chopping his minister post. It takes money and will-power. The money they are sharing and chopping. The will-power is not there because of attitude issues they all espouse. Massa, try to brighten the corner where you are and don't expect anything good from these self serving people. chai!!
