The Atebubu Police Command has arrested two Fulani herdsmen for stealing a farmer's gun while he was working in his farm.
According to the farmer, Kwadwo Nyabelah, the suspects came to him in his farm requesting water to drink which he offered them and asked them to take their cattle away because they have been destroying his farm.
He later realized his gun had been stolen by the herdsmen and quickly informed the Chairman of the Unit, Akwasi Kwarteng who mobilized the youth at the community to hunt for the herdsmen.
They were arrested from their hideout at the bush and the gun retrieved from them.
It was also revealed that the farmer had been beaten by the herdsmen when he accosted them alone for his gun before he reported the theft to his Unit Chairman.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the Police.
