Two people were killed on Sunday and several houses torched following a renewed clash between Bimoba ethnic groups in the Bunkprugu-Yunyoo District of the Northern region.
The two Bimoba families have been involved in a chieftaincy dispute for sometime now.
Securities sources told Graphiconline’s Northern Regional Correspondent, Samuel Duodu that the clashes erupted on Sundayt April 12, 2015 following a misunderstanding between the two feuding factions.
Security personnel have since been deplored to the area to maintain law and order.
Confirming the incident, the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna said the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) would be meeting on the issue on Monday.
