The National Lottery Authority has donated a cheque of Ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghs 10,000.00) to the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection as part of its mandate is required to protect and care for vulnerable and marginalized groups, particularly orphans, aged, destitute, inmates of female prisons and the Gambaga Witches Camp. The ministry during the yuletide every year presents food items, drinks, cloths and toiletries to these vulnerable groups.
Corporate Communications Manager of NLA, Kesewaah Dolphyne who presented the cheque to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection noted that NLA is very sympathetic to the needs of the less privileged and thus decided to support the Ministry to achieve a common goal.
The Sector minister, Nana Oye Lithur who received the cheque thanked NLA for the continuous support and said it would enable the ministry put smiles on the faces of the deprived.
