Mr Ben Atadana, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police and Chairman for Security and Justice Sub-committee for Nsawam /Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, has said peace would prevail in the municipality.
He said the Municipal Security and Justice Committee has been constantly reviewing the security situation in the municipality and appropriate measures are being made to maintain the peace of the area.
ACP Atadana (rtd) was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nsawam.
He said some of the security threats in the area include illegal sand winning, blocking of water ways and the construction of buildings with disregard to the Town and Country Planning regulations.
He said the Assembly members have been urged to form neighbourhood watch dog committees in their various communities to assist the police combat crime.
