The 26-year-old woman who allegedly poured acid on her boyfriend, Esther Enyonam Pekyi has been charged.
She was charged with attempted murder but the Attorney General today revised it to causing harm using an offensive weapon.
Last year, Police in Accra arrested Esther who had been on the run for months.
This was after Citi News provided the Police with intelligence leading to her arrest.
Esther allegedly poured the controlled chemical on her boyfriend, Eric Ohemeng, a student of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) after a disagreement between the two.
Eric with support from Citi FM and GIMPA survived the near death incident after series of surgeries.
