About 20 pupils of the Little Angel Preparatory School in Apedwa are in a critical condition after their school bus collided with another vehicle at Kibi-Amanfrom in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The injured have been rushed to the Kibi Government Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The critically injured are, however, at the emergency ward of the hospital and are likely to be referred to the Koforidua Government Hospital, Starr News Kojo Ansah has reported.
The pupils, mostly between the ages of 5 and 14, suffered various injuries with some having dental impacts. The school bus was reportedly overloaded.
According to some of the parents who trooped to the Kibi Government Hospital to see their children, the school authorities have consistently ignored their concerns over the poor state of the bus.
Information gathered by Starr News indicates that the school is currently relying on a hired urvan bus after their own developed a mechanic fault some months ago.

Some school authorities just ignore the complaints of parents.
