A deputy National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ruth Seddoh has said the irate Muslim youth who attacked and destroyed Church properties of Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah were rather too peaceful and could have done more.
The NDC Youth leader is, therefore, recommending special training from Afghanistan for all Muslims in Ghana because such a training “will help them a great deal”.
Angry Zongo youth (believed to be mostly Muslims) in Accra yesterday afternoon stormed the church premises of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah over his prophesy that National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu will die this year.
The cutlass-wielding youth numbering about 15 were seen breaking the church billboards at the entrance of the Odorkor Branch and shouting insults at Owusu Bempah in the Hausa language. They vowed to teach him a lesson for “touching their Imam”, brandishing cutlasses as they thronged into the church.
They entered the church and destroyed church properties. Reacting to the development, Ruth Seddoh who is NDC Deputy National Youth Organizer said the conduct of the Muslim Youth was rather peaceful.
“Anokwa, Ghanaian Muslims are too peaceful. Some training from Afghan will help a great deal” she wrote.
Chief Imam begs Youth
The National Chief Imam has reacted to the news of the attacks. He called on Muslims in Ghana to refrain from attacking the leader of Glorious Word Ministry, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah.
According to him, “we are living in peace with fellow Christians and other religion so let’s maintain that relationship. Leave him with his character and forgive him. As for death every soul shall taste it either today or tomorrow so no need to attack the man”.
“Please leave him and forgive him, I am begging you, I am begging you,” he added.

Please talk like a woman with sympathy, if war breaks up right now can you ran away with your your family?
Much as each and everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, the statement from this Deputy National Youth Organizer must be condemned. The party should call her attention to the consequencies on the statement she has made. I do not support the approach of Pastor Owusu Bempah, the approach by the aggrieved youth must be condemned and is also criminal but the statement from the Youth Organizer should not be tolerated what does she mean by training in Afghanistan? Mind you we are living with the GITMO 2 in Ghana. The Youth Organizer does not seem to understand her role as an organizer.YOUNG LADY BEWARE YOUR APPROACH IS VERY BAD FOR YOU, THE PARTY AND THE NATION GHANA.
I hope this purported statement from Ruth Seddoh is not true. However, if it happens to be true then it is also as worse as the prophecies of Owusu Bempah. We need to be circumspectful when we are making statement since they could lead to national security challenges.
Look at this foul mouth Ruth. Ahhba NDC. Is this your youth organizer?
