FinMock has rolled out a new mobile subscription service to enable easier access to its services across the country.
FinMock is an innovative electronic test preparation service, designed by a Ghanaian company, Finlite Group to helps students study in preparation for examinations, including the WAEC-administered BECE and WASSCE.
FinMock enables Exam candidates to practice tests at their convenience and personal pace on a mobile phone, tablet device or personal computer and get instant results on the answers they have scored. Currently FinMock has a database of over 2,000 exam questions for practice.
Maxwell Kyei-Baffour, Vice President Content Development of the Finlite Group, in a statement released to the GNA on Thursday, explained that the new mobile subscription service was in line with the companys vision of making knowledge accessible to all through customized e-platforms. From the start, we launched a mobile-based option for FinMock; so that students can continue to practice tests on their parents phones even when away from home or school, he said.
Subscription to the service was however based on users buying a scratch card voucher from selected access points.
Mr. Kyei-Baffour stated that the new mobile subscription service was available via the short code, 1909 on MTN and 1633 on Airtel, Vodafone and Expresso networks at a cost of only thirty pesewas (GHC0.30). The mobile subscription allows users access to one test subject area only.
Our voucher-based service is still available at a cost of GHC7, which gives users access to all subjects for a three-month period. However, we are also considering situations where a student may prefer to study only a limited number of subjects, or may experience difficulty finding a voucher to buy. He stated.
Finlites products, mobile-based services targeted at Ghanaian students, are currently available online at www.finlite.net. Mr. Kyei-Baffour also hinted of plans to expand their services to other countries in the West African sub-region, as well as launching downloadable apps for popular platforms such as iOS and Android.
