The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho, has assured MPs of the Parliamentary Service Board's Commitment to ensuring the completion of the expansion works on the parliamentary chamber.
He said the contractor has promised to finish the works and hand over before the House resumes its last sitting for the year.
Mr Adjaho announced this to the MPs when he adjourned the emergency sitting on Thursday.
The sitting was held at a Committee Room of the Accra International Conference Centre due to ongoing works in the Chamber.
The Speaker also commented on some publications in the media regarding the awarding of the chamber reconfiguration contract.
