The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Office in Afigya Kwabre in the Ashanti Region has been closed down due to non-payment of rent for 12 years.
The office which oversees the activities of the party in the constituency was on Monday locked by the landlord who is demanding over GHC 20,000.
Speaking to Citi News, the Branch Secretary in the constituency, Tahiru Halaru said party activities in the constituency have come to a standstill because, attempts to contact the District Chief Executive (DCE) and other party officials in the region proved futile.
He is therefore appealing to party executives to help them resolve the issue to enable them to resume work.
