THE BLAZING campaign of the two time Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, is expected to touch down in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, as he seeks to lead the party for the third consecutive time in 2016.
The NPP former Presidential Candidate, according to reports, would be in Kumasi on Friday to meet with both Regional and executives from the 47 constituencies in the region and interact with them ahead of the Super Delegates Congress. A member of the Campaign Team, Mr. George Ayisi-Boateng, told The Chronicle that Nana Addo will meet with the delegates at the Centre for National Culture, where he will lay before them his vision and objectives for the party and convince them to vote for him.
He said the candidate would in the morning, parade through the principal streets of Kumasi, from Adum right through to Central Market, exchanging greetings with enthusiastic party supporters before heading to the Cultural Centre to address delegates and supporters.
Mr. Ayisi-Boateng also said a special dinner would also be held in honour of Nana Addo on Friday evening to afford him the opportunity to have one on one personal interaction with leading party figures, founding members, delegates and other groups within the party.
Nana Akufo-Addo, according to the Campaign Team Member, would leave on Saturday morning for Akrokerri, where he would be expected to join thousands of mourners to observe the burial and final funeral rites of the late statesman and NDC stalwart, Mr. Paul Victor Obeng.
