DISCLAIMER
The Office of the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has, once again, taken note of a fake press statement, purporting to be coming from him and supporting the misguided decision of President Mahama to accept ex-Guantanamo detainees in Ghana.
This is to let the public know that it is a fabrication, meant to find legitimacy for a decision that has received a lot of backlash from the public.
We wish to reiterate the point that Nana Akufo-Addo's position is no different from the party's position, which has been made public already.
The mischief of the said release is exposed by the wrong spelling of Nana Akufo-Addo's name. We therefore urge the public to ignore this fake statement.
Any formal statement from the NPP Flagbearer has always been disseminated from the “NPP COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE” email account ([email protected]), and subsequently published on Nana Akufo-Addo’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NAkufoAddo) and Twitter page (www.twitter.com/NAkufoAddo). Thus, any statement, allegedly signed by Nana Akufo-Addo, whose origin cannot be traced to the NPP Communications Directorate’s email address or sourced from the Official Social Media pages of Nana Akufo-Addo is a complete fabrication and must be ignored.

(Spokesperson to Nana Akufo-Addo)
