National Organizer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) should feel free to copy the governing style of the ruling NDC.
According to him, the NPP is gradually shifting from their capitalism governing style to emulate from the NDC’s socialism governing style as enshrined in the NDC’s 2016 manifesto, and so it is obvious the NPP will copy the ruling party’s manifesto.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show to rebut the NPP’s allegation that the NDC has copied the 2012 manifesto of the opposition NPP, Kofi Adams chided that the NPP is an empty barrel which has nothing to offer Ghanaians and it cannot be true that the ruling government had copied the NPP’s 2012 manifesto.
He insisted that NPP’s inability to launch their manifesto is an indication that their leader, Nana Akufo- Addo and the NPP has no message going into the 2016 elections; thus it is out of frustration that the NPP are claiming ownership of the NDC’s 2016 manifesto.
“The NPP should feel free to copy our manifesto policies because they have realised that their capitalism approach in governance is not helping them, and so they are now shifting from that practice to NDC’s socialism style of governance,” he mocked.
He however mentioned that the four thematic areas of the NDC 2016 manifesto have the tendency to make the lives of Ghanaians better in the second term of President Mahama.
He urged Ghanaians to ignore the promises of the Presidential Candidate of NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo as those promises have no manifesto backing except to deceive them to vote for him.
“We are doing something for Ghanaians and they can be rest assured that we will deliver on our promises based on what President Mahama is doing, but Ghanaians cannot depend on the promises of Nana Akufo-Addo who has not done anything or laid any foundation to implement his promises,” he averred.
