The Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has ended his four day tour to the Central Region and given an assurance to cocoa famers that government, would continue to give them better cocoa price for their commodity.
He interacted with Cocoa farmers at Morkwaa Ahenkro, addressed a mini rally at Twifo Anyinase and did same with the Ewe Community at Atti Bimponegya all in Twifo/Atti-Morkwaa constituency.
Aside this, he also addressed a rally at Wawase and at Bodi, he interacted with the Cocoa farmers there.
At Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, he was joined by Hon Foster Joseph Andoh and a durbar for him to address the chiefs and people of Mfoum.
During the interaction, he pointed out that government has their welfare at heart and would continue to rehabilitate the cocoa roads to facilitate the transportation of cocoa in cocoa growing areas to the market.
Vice President Amissah- Arthur stated that the NDC government would also continue to expand and distribute free cocoa seeding, fertilizers and the spraying of cocoa farms to help improve yields.
He also added that the Cocoa Scholarship by the Ghana Cocoa Board is ongoing and would be improved for children of Cocoa farmers to benefit.
He said in line with this, government has increased the cocoa price from 420 to 470 to help the farmers.
Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur appealed to the gathering to avoid the ‘skirt and blouse’ pattern of voting come December when Ghana goes to the polls. He urged them to vote for Hon Foster Joseph Andoh as MP for the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency seat.
He maintained that it is prudent to vote for an MP who will have the “ears of the president and could visit the Presidency to push for development of his people.”
He lauded the people of the area for voting for the NDC over the years. He said continuity is key for the NDC to enable President John Mahama continue with his transformational agenda.
He asked Ghanaians to have confidence in President Mahama and his team and promised that the current administration would continue to share the national cake equally to all communities no matter where they were located.

This man keeps talking about skirt and blouse forgeting that the skirt self he wont get to talk of the blouse self. Farmers dont allow him to deceive u cos the scholarships will be given to people who dont even have a pepper farm self and ur children will be strugling. Change is coming
