General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress Johnson Asiedu Nketia says Ghanaians must not be surprised by the violence being perpetrated by members of the New Patriotic Party since his party warned them on several occasions.
Following the swearing-in of President Nana Akufo-Addo on Saturday, some supporters of the NPP have attacked several government agencies and installations demanding to take over such facilities.
Some NPP members have been on rampage seizing several toll booths across the country as well as offices of state institutions such as YEA, NADMO, Passport Office, Tema Port among others in Accra and other parts of the country.
The official vehicle of the Municipal Chief Executive of Evalue Ajomoro Gwira constituency in the Western region James Atta Kakra Baidoo was also impounded by the some NPP youth Monday evening.
However, in an interview on Accra FM, Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito said the NDC warned against voting for Akufo-Addo since such lawless takeovers were likely to happen.
“We warned Ghanaians that Nana Addo, as president, will foment chaos…this is the first transition that has a law to guide it, so, if Nana Addo as president cannot control his party people and security, then it says a lot about him. I believe he is aware of all that is happening.
“Mass dismissals are now impossible during a transition process; you can’t ask people in public office to ‘proceed on leave’ just anyhow without recourse to the transitional law, they should also learn from former presidents Mills and Mahama who demonstrated tolerance towards public officers appointed by the previous government at the time they took office."

Mr Aseidu, nana Addo is leaning from ndc when your party took over in 2008.we remember your members ejected kuffour from his office, they took over all NHIS office across the country, took over all toll booth, all public toilet, passport office, port and a lot of govermrnt agencies to the extent of ejecting people from govermrnt bungalows in tema and other places.school feeding operators were sack from their business, people security operators from BNI were Chase out, even recruit under training police and soldiers were Chase out.so nana is leaning from them, thus Mills and Mahama.
Asiedu nketia is here again with ignorance , he always speak like a baby
If you ask NDC to solve economic problem, it is like asking them scale a 100 feet wall. However, if you ask them to device a means of rigging elections, they will in a matter of minutes produce several methods to rig. W)n ab)n roff!!
U r fooooool period
IT IS THE VERY PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR NANA THAT ARE DEMANDING FOR CHANGE IN ADMINISTRATION AT VARIOUS FACILITIES AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. THIS DEMAND FOR CHANGE IN LOCAL LEVEL OF GOVERNANCE SHALL ALWAYS PERSIST IN GHANA AS LONG AS THE THE ADMINISTRATION AT LOCAL LEVEL IS LINKED WITH THE ELECTION OF PRESIDENT. THIS IS THE REASON WHY ALL PARTIES INCLUDING NPP AND NDC SHOULD SUPPORT THE PROPOSAL OF ELECTING ALL IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND GIVING THEM EXTENDED AUTONOMY TO MANAGE THE LOCAL INSTITUTIONS. IT IS FOR THE GOOD OF NATION AND ALL TO ADVOCATE FOR THIS EXTENSION OF LOCAL LEVEL ELECTIONS
I PREFARE NANA TO INCOMPETENT MAHAMA AND YOUR NDC WHO MADE LIFE HELL FOR US THE POOR MASSES DUE TO YOUR CRONIC CORRUPTION.
***barred word*** BANKU SHOUT UP.***barred word*** ***barred word***...
This Asiedu Nketia man must grow up. he has remained a child for a long time. The time has come for him to grow into an adult person. At this crucial moment of our national life, the best to do as general secretary is to offer your piece of advice to the rampaging supporters but not further amplify the gravity of the anger. Indeed, this is a subculture which has bedeviled this nation for sometime now. It must be condemned in no uncertain terms. Our political leaders like Asiede Nketia must stand up and be countered.
Gen mosquito have you soon forgotten what happen in 2009 when the late mills was sworn? Did the NDC torment chose then? ***barred word***! You should be thanking Nana Addo instead like you go smell pepper!
